During Tuesday and Wednesday (the 19/6 to 20/6/07), the 3rd ECL to impact on the NSW East coast in 2 weeks is expected to bring more potentially heavy rainfalls, snow from the Snowy Mountains and Southern Tablelands all the way to Northern Tablelands down to 900 -1000m.
This system has the potential to give the NSW Snow resorts a great boost, with predictions of up to 50cm of snow from this system, while with the help of a upper cold pool, could bring possibly snow falls to the tablelands all the way up to northern tablelands down to about 900 to 1000m, according to the BOM.

Hey Chris,
have you ever seen the movie Day After Tomorrow? You mentioning a cold snap reminded me of it. If you haven't seen it I'd be happy to lend it to you as it's all about global warming and really intense weather systems.
